This Week’s Wish List

Wish List

Wishing doesn’t always make it so, but it’s a start. To focus my desirous energy I decided to whittle down my list to my top 3 choices. Not easy, but here goes.

Saint Laurent Opium Logo-Heel Pumps: I love the use of the logo as the design of the heel, and my curiosity is piqued. Are these shoes made for walking?

Tata Harper’s Rejuvenating Serum: Since the winter weather has taken a toll on my skin, and my best friend (as well as Gwyneth) swears by its benefits. And, because it is non-toxic and organic.

Spinelli Kilcollin Women’s Vega SG Pavé Ring: I literally can not stop thinking about these rings since I discovered them a year ago. This one makes my heart sing!

I love everything on this list, so I wouldn’t balk if any of the above lovelies made its way into my home, but it’s always nice to have a jumping off point.

My other, intangible wish is for refugees to be welcome the world over. Help refugees, forced to flee their home, and give them a chance to rebuild their lives. Donate here or here. Get involved here.

This Week’s Wish List

this-weeks-wish-listthis-weeks-wish-list-

Fall is here, and it finally feels like it. With the new season feel my color palette desires have switched to warmer, richer hues like navy, camel and burgundy (of course, there will still be plenty of black, white and grey). I tend toward neutrals, yet I love DVF’s Louella printed skirt for a pop of color and pattern, and Loeffler Randall’s Isla embroidered ankle boot.  I’d be hard pressed to name my #1 wish on this list, but Loeffler Randall’s burgundy fringed suede clutch has to be a strong contender!

My sense of smell also tends towards warmer spicier scents when the temperatures start to drop. Rose Des Vents acts as the anchor scent for Louis Vuitton’s entire new perfume collection. Known as “Rose of the Winds”, this base note is a sparkling floral that develops a delicate spice aroma over time.

Diane von Furstenberg Louella Printed Silk-Chiffon Midi Skirt //  Joie ‘Jemina’ Over the Knee Boot // Louis Vuitton Rose des Vents Collection of Parfums // Rag & Bone Jean Denny High Rise Ankle Skinny Jeans // Isabel Marant Anders Wrap-Effect Coated Cotton-Blend Mini Skirt // Loeffler Randall Lock Fringed Suede Clutch //Stella McCartney Wide-leg Tuxedo Trousers // Loeffler Randall Isla Embroidered Boot // Kenzo Poplin High Neck Ruffle Blouse // Tom Dixon London, Orientalist and Royalty Set of 3 Candles // J Crew Long Sleeve Italian Cashmere Sweater

Don’t know if it was the mood I was in from the tragic news of the day, but I wasn’t that floored by many of the dresses from Sunday’s Tony award’s red carpet. Um….Food for thought. Here are my favorite looks from the evening. Congratulations to all the Tony winners!!

This Week's Wish List

T

This week’s wish list is all about comfort and glamour. To aid you in creating your razzle dazzle looks this holiday season is Alexis’s red lace dress (elegant, festive, with just the right amount of sex appeal), and A.L.C’s flute pleated metallic gold skirt — pair with a basic black short sleeve mock neck sweater, and Belle by Sigerson Morrison suede ballerina flats for a chic and dressy look. If you’re looking to add a touch of sex appeal opt for patent high heels. I love clothing that has versatility as its middle name, it is like getting two for one. Try pairing A.L.C’s metallic skirt with a chunky sweater and flat ankle boots for a fun casual look.

Comfortable and chic: my most often go to look (it’s easier to accomplish than you think). Start off with a pair of leggings, I choose leather because every girl needs a pair in her closet. Pair with an on trend lace-up sweater, lace-up flats and a Givenchy triple wrap bracelet for a pop of color. Top it all of with J Crew’s pea coat (currently on sale) and a printed scarf – I love Alexander McQueen’s iconic skull scarf.

Whether comfy or elegant is your look of choice the finishing touches are a spritz of L’artisan perfume in Premier Figuier (my absolute favorite fragrance), and an Amore Pacific treatment mask the night before.

1) Alexis Elsen Lace Dress // 2) Belle by Sigerson Morrison  Viata Suede Ballerina Flats // 3) Alexander McQueen Skull-Print Scarf // 4) Nil Loten Lace-Up V-Neck Sweater // 5)   A.L.C Gates Pleated Metallic Skirt // 6) Givenchy Obsedia Triple Wrap Leather Bracelet // 7) J Crew Stadium-Cloth Majesty Peacoat // 8) L’artisan Parfumeur Premier Figuier // 9) Amore Pacific Limited Edition Time Response Collection // 10) Joseph  Stretch-leather leggings

It’s my birthday and I can’t think of a better day to highlight my long overdue This Week’s Wish List. It’s been a long standing tradition of mine to treat myself to a fabulous gift when celebrating my day of birth. This Week's Wish List

I’ve been feeling the grey trend. My friend Jill’s love of only neutrals (her closet consists of black, white and grey with a touch of beige) must be rubbing off on me. I’m almost temped to do a clean sweep of my closet leaving only my greys, whites and blacks along with my favorite navy and olive-green pieces.

First off, I’d replace it with Elizabeth and James’ stretch-boucle turtleneck sweater and midi tube skirt (worn with Rupert Anderson’s pointy toe flats and Alexander Wang’s black croc-embossed leather bag for a smashing look), and then add a few comfort pieces, such as J Crew’s skinny trouser sweatpants and ATM’s crew neck tee.

I can’t imagine I would give up on color totally, every once in a while a girl needs a pop of vibrance – Anya Hindmarch’s Ebury maxi Slow Down tote is not only a healthy reminder of how to live life, but I love the pop of red!

1)  Elizabeth and James Kirk Stretch-Bouclé Turtleneck Sweater 2) Natura Bissé Diamond Drops Serum 3) Natura Bissé Glyco Extreme Peel  4) Rupert Sanderson Flat Pointy Pumps 5) Alexander Wang Black Croc-Embossed Leather Satchel Bag 6) By Malene Birger Fulana Belted Wool and Mohair-Blend Coat 7) Anya Hindmarch Ebury Maxi Slow Down Perforated Leather Tote 8) ATM Long Sleeve Crew Neck Tee 9) J Crew Skinny Trouser Sweatpant 10) Elizabeth and James Eliza Stretch-Bouclé Midi Skirt

Wish List

My fashion wishes this week began when I happened upon french designer Jacquemus’s a-line wrap skirt, featuring the designer’s signature oversized eyelet, and cropped turtle neck sweater. I instantly fell in love.

All other wishes were curated around my new-found obsession — the skirt. Imagine how divine Acne’s lavender Baylay wool-blend sweater, and Isabel Marant’s brick-red ankle boots will look paired with the skirt. Another awesome look is the skirt worn with Steven Alan’s Austen shirt. And, all tops here take on a more casual vibe, yet still chic, when paired with Alexa Chung’s Sabine jeans (prepare for these jeans to sell out quickly).

I’m off now to get my nails painted blue. If I only could decide which Opi shade of navy! Am I in the mood for dating a royal? Any thoughts?

1. Jacquemus La Jupe Oeillet Porte Feuille (skirt) 2. Jacquemus a Maille Courte (top) 3. Opi Nail Lacquer Russian Navy // Opi Dating A Royal // Opi My Car Has Navy-Gation 4. Steven Alan Austen Shirt 5. Alexa Chung For AG  Sabine Jean 6. Rag & Bone Floppy-Brim Fedora 7. Sophie Hulme Small Drawstring Bucket  8.Acne Studios Baylay Big Wool-Blend Sweater  9. Isabel Marant Brick Red Ankle Boot 10. Isabel Marant Etoile Gabrie Check Jacket
