Monkey See & Alexander Wang Denim Resort Collection

The Big Short

It’s not an easy subject to understand or even to explain to us feeble-minded masses, but in Adam McCay’s ‘The Big Short’ he uses humor and a well written script to break down the elements that comprised the biggest crash our economy (2008) has suffered since the great depression. The Big Short is my favorite movie I’ve seen so far this year, it brung up a range of emotions in me: I laughed, got supremely pissed, and many times felt like crying.

The movie, which is based on Michael Lewis’s book, ‘The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine’ will surely garner a few Oscar nominations (Christian Bale, Steve Carell and Best Movie at least). New York Times movie critic, A.O.Scott, raves, “…will affirm your deepest cynicism about Wall Street while simultaneously restoring your faith in Hollywood.” A definite must see!

Alexander Wang’s denim line, received a street influenced update for its 2016 resort release. With several new styles being introduced — Bite cut-off denim shorts to the Rave wide-leg jean to the Dazed oversized denim jacket — this collection’s cool factor is off the charts. My favs are the cropped flared denim pants.
