As I get older life seems to become crazier and crazier. I don’t know if it’s a byproduct of our times — technology, 24 hour news channels and reality television etc, or more a result of the shift in perspective we gain as we age. Most likely, a fusion of the two.
Fashion trends can be similar. They can mimic the evolution of our unpredictable times. For example, take the way color blocking has flourished into the eclectic patchwork trend. From Etro to Burberry Prorsum to Emilio Pucci, and encompassing various genres such as ponchos, denim and accessories, this 70’s hippie like trend is everywhere this fall.
I’d like to highlight a favorite from my curated list below, but, truthfully, I’ve got my eye on them all.
Take a risk on patchwork this fall and partake in today’s mixed-up, screwy life!

Fun Facts: When the Chicago Cubs last won the World Series (1908) motorized transportation was also a relatively new thing, and there were only 8,000 cars, 144 miles of paved roads, and the maximum speed limit in most cities was just 10 mph.
