If the first day of the Spring 2016 collections is any indication, we’ll be baring our shoulders once again next spring. A plethora of off the shoulders, one shouldered and cut out (at the shoulder) designs sauntered down the runway…..and that was just the first day. The trend is going viral for Spring 2016, and was seen on Creatures of Comfort, Creatures of the Wind, Hellessy (see below, I loved their collection), Tome and of course Rosie Assoulin — one could say she single-handedly resurrected the trend years ago with her unique, whimsical blouses.
I, for one, am elated about the trend flourishing. Shoulder’s denote strength and a delicate vitality simultaneously, two of women’s best attributes. It’s sexy without being vampy, and has a fresh modern feel to it. Long live bare shoulders!
