The Car Wash Pleat
Car wash pleats were on every runway for fall from the first shows in New York to the last collection previews in Paris. A great way to highlight those gams with out donning a mini! One of my favorite trends of the season.

Patch Work/Mixed Media
The seventies trend is still going strong with the addition of patchwork for fall. This trend from the early seventies isn’t just for handbags (though that is huge this season), mixed media constituted everything from ponchos, capes, trousers, dresses and more. This trend is already having a huge impact.

The Pant Suit
Great tailoring and the menswear vibe will never go out of style. Thank God. Whether edgy, relaxed or classic, there is nothing as chic or pulled together as a woman in a sleek pantsuit.
Derek Lam // Stella McCartney // Gucci // Saint Laurent
All Day Gray
I may not be a fan of gray days but the color is another matter entirely. This is the color of the season and it’s in no way boring. This versatile color (goes with literally everything) looks particularly cool in head to toe monochromatic looks.
Tibi // Max Mara // Akris // Theory
For fall designers traveled back centuries just not decades for a Victorian inspiration. High neck ruffled collars and black lace permeated the runways, but with an updated modern vibe. Case in point, Riccardo Tisci’s brilliant Givenchy fall collection. One of my favorite collections of the season.
Alexander McQueen // Givenchy // Alberta Ferretti // Reem Acra
A Touch Of Fur
Prada // Balenciaga // Marc Jacobs // Marni
Fur coats have been a strong trend for the past few seasons. But for fall it is bits and pieces of mink, fox, and Mongolian lamb fur that were collaged onto everything from jacket sleeves, coat collars, and pockets to Prada’s cocktail dresses and Proenza Schouler’s modern evening dresses.
