The holidays are past us and the realization that there is plenty of winter weather ahead has hit home, unless you happen to live in southern California where it’s going to be 80 degrees today. But, for those of you living elsewhere you probably have come down with a whopping case of winter wardrobe blues. Ugh!! I have great antidotes to lift your mood – styling tips to add punch and a kick to your winter looks, enabling you to have a bring-it-on-attitude when facing dressing for the cold and chilly days ahead.
Add chunky boots and a simple sweatshirt to tone down this fluttery feather detailed skirt, and see how it lifts your spirits to wear (so called) night wear during the day. Add a light blue oversized coat for a vibrant pop of color, and you’re good to go.
Colored fur (faux fur is even better) is a sure-fire way to brighten up your favorite pair of jeans, and keep yourself toasty warm. Adding a printed scarf in the same hue gives the look that extra oomph!

Sienna Miller knows a dose of red goes a long, long way to combat winter blues, especially when paired with a mismatched beanie cap that 100% works! You gotta take risks to add panache to your everyday looks.

Prints and accessories can add as much pizazz to your winter look as color. Update a navy menswear inspired coat with a striped beanie and oversized bright blue mirrored sunglasses. Adding the opposite striped button down (vertical) shirt mixes up the look that much more. A warm and rich pop of camel (via a cozy and warm scarf) elevates this look to uber fantastic!
Camille Charriere wears a non basic hue of leather pants for a lift to her cooler weather ensemble. Try a rich, warm color such as olive paired with a neutral color sweater. To add the necessary spice add a vintage printed scarf with a bit of color. Want your look to be tres chic? Try a pair of heels (if weather permits) and draping your coat on the shoulders.
