Summer’s finally here. But, Pre-Fall 2014  collections are entering the stores and are favorite online e-commerce sites, and the curtains just closed on Resort 2015. Needless to say there are times when following fashion can be a little like minor time traveling. Before we get too far away from the Resort 2015 collections to concentrate on the present and near future (Fall 2014); I’d like to present a brief look at another of my favorite Resort collections — Gucci (see entire collection here), and a few of my other fav Resort looks.

Frida Giannini’s (Gucci Designer) choice of  floral prints (partnering with the artist Kris Knight) that feature plants which historically women have used to ” to seduce, command power over men, and which otherwise provide protection” goes a long way in capturing the feel of  the collection. She elaborated on that inspiration in her press release, “I went beyond the flower box and picked botanicals that either blossomed at night, dawn, or dusk, but also chose plants that have strong roots for adaptability, persistence, and resistance in harsh environments,”

Here are more of my favorite Resort 2015 looks.
