I’ve been a fan of Angelina Jolie ever since she wowed the world with her work in the TV movie Gia, and the feature film Girl Interrupted. She obviously had talent in spades, beauty possessed by few, and a rebel spirit that cared little of what other people thought of her. I always admired that quality and her zealousness for life.

After a trip to Cambodia to film Tomb Raider Jolie became concerned with the plight of refugees around the world. Named a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador in 2001, Jolie has carried out more than 40 field missions to some of the most remote regions of the world to highlight the plight of millions of uprooted people and to advocate for their protection.
