Having worn pants for most of winter, by the time spring rolls around I’m ripe to wear dresses. After weeks of bundling up and layering, the ease of a dress feels so freeing. The maxi dress’ versatility is another extra benefit – go from casual to dressy with a quick change of shoes, jewelry and hair. And, one has to love the maxi’s added bonus of not having to worry about how presentable the legs are – i.e cuts, scrapes and bruises!!
This summer I’m especially drawn to floral prints, with DVF’s silk Annie floral print on a white backdrop a favorite. The Asian influence of Halston Heritage’s print maxi dress, or the drape and silhouette of Kate Moss for Top Shop’s maxi provides stiff competition for my #1.
For your not-so-casual occasions I’m drawn to Nili Lotan’s silk chiffon ribbon-tie halter dress. The sleek and simple silhouette, along with the sensuous silk chiffon fabric, makes this dress classic and sexy. Lets face it, I love them all!!
