FleaPop is the latest fusion between e-commerce and retail, or shall I say flea markets. An ultra cool place to sell or buy home decor and furniture, new and used. The idea came about after Ross Resnick, founder, and is wife moved into their new home. Not all their furnishings made the cut, either because of physical space or stylistic changes in decor. But, there was some pretty amazing stuff that now needed a new home.
His genius idea is now a marketplace where you can set up shop and sell your valuables you no longer need in your home. Opening up a store is free and easy – upload photos, set a fixed price, and enter description (who knew you could be a proud store owner in a manner of minutes). If you want to sell in a fixed time you set a timer, and sellers only pay a 6% commission (better than eBay’s 9%).
You can shop by seller – browse featured, new or nearby sellers of people’s style you like – or search via tags and features. You can opt to pick up your goodies, or for total ease have it shipped directly to you. They even have Pop sales from time to time to snag an extra sweet deal!
Here are a few of my favorites, visit FleaPop to find yours.
