Gone Fishin

This fall when choosing a new look in sweaters, you can opt for a classic fisherman’s knit with a modern update. Whether voluminous and long (Rachel Zoe), short and boxy (Rag & Bone), contoured with a peplum (Carven and one of my favs), or classic with a twist as in 360’s side zip version (another fav), cable-knit sweaters are a versatile staple to add to your wardrobe.

Of course, they pair perfectly with jeans, and leather or suede leggings, but for a modern approach to this classic try introducing a pair of this fall’s new slouched trouser silhouette (as shown at The Row), a to-the-knee pleated skirt, or for evening a bias cut full length satin skirt.

If you are drawn to the minier side of skirts, try pairing a fitted, shorter cable knit sweater with a fit and flare skirt along with over the knee boots – Carven’s fitted sweater with peplum detail is an excellent choice.
