When I think of Equipment what comes to mind is their luxurious silk blouses. The boy.girl silhouettes in a wide variety of vivid hues and sumptuous pastels, along with the fun and exciting prints are the epitome of casual chic.
Equipment’s first collection in 1975, designed by Christian Restoin and inspired by fashion icons Katherine Hepburn and Lauren Bacall, introduced the concept of men’s shirts to womenswear. In 2010 Current/Elliott’s Serge Azria relaunched the brand infusing the label’s heritage with contemporary edge. He also added an array of modern, fashionable sweaters that are every bit as chic as their counterpart silk blouses.
With fall designs pouring into the stores it’s time to start thinking about which items you’ll covet for your own personal most wanted list. I recommend an Equipment sweater be on that list.
