Elizabeth Taylor’s Coveted Treasures at Christies

Elizabeth Taylor was arguably the most glamorous person to ever grace the face of the Earth. Her most coveted treasures are currently up for auction at Christie’s, where you can bid (if you’re so lucky) in person or online and take a private tour of her most fashionable and timeless belongings. Taylor’s extensive collection of valuables has also been catalogued and can be cherished by the eyes-only in limited edition boxed book sets, which make  fabulous holiday gifts.

Bidding was particularly frenzied for the stunning Christian Dior evening gown of silver encrusted brocade with matching evening bag, from 1968, which Miss Taylor wore to Guy de Rothschild and his wife’s yearly ball at Chateau de Ferrières, France,” noted Patricia Frost, Chrisites Head of Fashion. “Throughout the past week, bidders have been paying tribute to Miss Taylor’s sense of style and Christie’s are very pleased that her extraordinary wardrobe will continue to inspire further generations of fans, fashionistas and designers.
