Primetime Emmy’s Best Dressed

There weren’t many fashion risks at last evenings Primetime Emmy awards (that is if you don’t count plunging necklines revealing plenty of cleavage - Kat Dannings in J. Mendel and Morena Baccarin in Basil Soda), Which is not to say there weren’t gorgeous and dashing women as far as the eye could see.

One bold, brilliant choice was Julianne Moore’s ravishing Christian Dior Couture gown, that while covering her virtually from head to toe still registered plenty of sex appeal. And the color, which lent the dress its fresh and modern flair, was so complimentary to her raven hair and coloring. Giuliana Rancic, in a classic, strapless Romona Keveza, looked absolutely stunning, and all having given birth three weeks ago. Some women have all the luck!!

Another strong trend for the evening, column gowns – strapless and sheaths, revealed more than a few svelte but shapely figures. Tina Fey cut a dashing presence in a rich burgundy strapless gown with brocade peeping from the bust – and that creamy milky white skin, just beautiful.

Shimmer, sequins and shine were a mini trend with the stand out being Lucy Liu’s Versace’s silver glittering metal gown. A dress that was cast perfectly against her jet black hair and snow-white skin – simply sensational.

Did we miss any of your favorite dresses? Let us know who!!

During the festival Kruger also donned Jason Wu, Giambattista Valli, Calvin Klein and Burberry Prorsum. and a few more lucky designers.

Fashion’s Night Out – Los Angeles Pic’s

Los Angeles’s second Fashion’s Night Out party (the first FNO was only in New York) might not have been attended by as many fashion enthusiasts as last year but the night was still a roaring success. We shopped, browsed, mingled and partied till our feet gave out. Below are just some of our favorite fashion looks of the night.

Los Angeles is wild for Black & White! Amanda & Rita show a whole lotta leg (and what legs they have) in their black and white combos while Courtney and Summer take a break from the Intermix bash.

All that glitters is not only Gold and the new Chanel boutique on Robertson Boulevard proves it. Marissa, in a rockin sequin dress, and Andrew man the doors at All Saints on Robertson Blvd.

The window of Alexander McQueen on Melrose Avenue, the most stupendous boutique and definitely my new favorite. If you’re in the area, it is definitely worth a look-see.

We are coveting Alexander McQueen’s Knuckle Clutch.

Our friends, Olivier and Cynthia, who are always tres chic, outside of Alexander McQueen. Cynthia Desser, wearing Libertin Louison, is a prodigious jewelry designer who made her mark in Paris. Check out her website, cynthiadesser.com. to pick up some of the monumental pieces from her Fall/Winter collection before they sell out. One of my favorite of her many Jamin Puech’s, of Paris, handbags.

Julie, in a smashing Marlene Burger striped maxi dress at the Theory party on Melrose Ave. An unknown women with an awesome handbag at Vivienne Westwood on Melrose, who scurried away before I had a chance to ask her who the designer was.

Tina Lu, the design room coordinator for Willow and Clay, in her favorite Alexander Wang top. Renee, with her effervescent style, is a stand out at Vivienne Westwood on Melrose Avenue.

Grammy’s Best Dressed -The New Kids On The Block

The best dressed list for this years Grammy’s contains ladies who have become quite the regulars: Nicole Kidman in John Paul Gaultier looked ravishing-no wonder Keith sings she’s his better half, Eva Longoria in Ashi Studio shows us she’s got legs and knows how to use them – with some help from her Brian Atwood pumps, and Lea Michele bringing sexy back and looking classic in Emilio Pucci.

Along with the faces we know, there were the new kids on the block-faces I am sure we will be seeing a lot more of: Selena Gomez rocked it in J Mendal-looking fresh and sophisticated at the same time, Dianna Argon brought a little edge to the ceremonies in her Vivienne Westwood, and Jennifer Hudson drove the men gaga with her new figure and Versace gown.
